Inspection
Corrosion Assessment (CA): coating integrity survey,
inspect for dissimilar metals etc
Visual Inspection (VT): inspection of welds and
tanks including using a range of fiber scopes, videoscopes and borescopes for
applications such as quality control, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting.
Onsite staff training available.
Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT) & water wash:
assesses the integrity of materials which are fabricated from any non-porous
materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastic, deck
plate, piping, etc. for example on welds for porosity, cracks, surface pitting
corrosion, etc.
Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT): assesses the
integrity of ferrite steel components for surface and sub-surface cracks.
Ultrasonic Thickness Inspection (UTT): measures the
thicknesses of metals for example piping, plate and vessel structures for wear
and deterioration.
Ultrasonic Shear Wave (UT Shear Wave): utilizing
sound waves to detect, locate and evaluate defects such as cracks, corrosion,
foreign inclusions, lack of fusion on welded sidewalls and at the root.
HP Air Flask / Receivers: MIS can perform turn-key
inspections including UTT and UT Shear Wave.
Eddy Current Testing (ET): inspects tubes, bolt and
rivet holes, surfaces of metals and coating thickness.
Remote Field Testing (RFT): inspects ferromagnetic
tubes (carbon steel) in heat exchangers and boilers.
Near Field Testing (NFT): inspect ferromagnetic tubes
(carbon steel) in heat exchangers with finned tubes.
Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM): detects
and sizes surface breaking defects in metallic components such as welded joints
with little or no surface preparation required. Tests through paint or other
surface coatings.
UT Silver Braze: for brazed piping joints including
production and qualification.
ET / Silver Nitrate Inspection: for detecting
de-laminating.
Certified Weld Inspection (AWS-CWI): inspectors
certified by the American Welding Society to assure quality of welded
components and qualified welders.
Certified Coating Inspection (NACE-BGAS): inspectors
certified by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers to assure quality
of coatings and qualified applicators.
NDT Training: basic theory and inspection techniques for
most NDT methods.
